About the Position
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of product to our customers, accomplished through successful integration and management of our drivers during their career with the Company. The Transportation Supervisor will be accountable for all driver-related planning, including driver recruitment and performance management. Additionally, the Transportation Supervisor will ensure optimal equipment condition and performance to deliver business volume, while effectively managing expenses in an ever-changing fast paced environment.

Attract, lead and retain an adequate fleet of drivers to efficiently deliver business requirements.
Act as the driver liaison for all areas of the business including Dispatch, Sales, Central Processing, Operations and Management.
Track and review all driver metrics including HOS. Provide training, coaching and performance management as appropriate to ensure delivery of all KPIs including safety, productivity, efficiency, and utilization targets.
Coordinate and facilitate adequate driver training driver development programs in cooperation with Human Resources.
Prepare and distribute driver schedules. Manage and communicate driver availability.
Manage driver payroll, ensuring adherence to all policies and administrative requirements.
Work with Human Resources to ensure driver files are up to date i.e. updated licenses/medicals/border crossing documents, notifying drivers of upcoming expiring documents.
Support Operations regarding investigations into causes of accidents and/or driving violations, providing recommendations, determining appropriate resolutions, and facilitates necessary follow up actions.
Facilitate effective driver team meetings and maintain all driver communications.
Responsible to coordinate and support all fleet maintenance standards and requirements.
Support timely and effective resolution of complaints where applicable.
Facilitate other tasks as assigned.

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
Completion of post-secondary education is an asset.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Previous experience in transportation industry, preferably 5 years.
2-3 years supervisory experience required.
Previous AZ driving experience and AZ licensed candidates preferred.
Knowledge of Omnitracs, Truckmate (TMW) programs an asset.
