What we are looking for:
We are seeking a part-time 310T Mechanic. You would be an integral member of our Fleet Maintenance group who handle our repairs as a dynamic group to provide efficient & reliable service to our driving fleet. As a 310T Mechanic you are the key communicators with our drivers and counted on to treat everyone with respect.
What your day would look like:
Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problems using test drives and test instruments (such as pressure gauges, computer software and other equipment as needed)
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air disc and drum brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics etc. Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
Perform all tasks according to Ippolito safety standards
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe continuing operations of tractors and trailers.
Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation, through written work orders
Ensure all shop tools are used and stored properly
Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Other mechanical repair work as required
Who you are:
Valid Mechanics license 310T or Apprentices (will consider candidates with mechanical experience, interested in Apprenticeship opportunities)
Minimum one year’s experience as a Mechanic in the transportation industry
Possess valid G driver’s license (A or D will be considered an asset)
Proven mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
Education:
Valid Mechanics license 310T or Apprentices (will consider candidates with mechanical experience, interested in Apprenticeship opportunities)
Minimum one year’s experience as a Mechanic in the transportation industry

Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to record information into our work order software
